Yoga Roots Art Films is a film production company based in Santiago, Chile. Our origins lie in board sports (skateboarding, snowboarding, surfing) and the spirituality of yoga and meditation. We create auteur cinema with profound meaning, entertainment value, and high artistic quality.

CRISTIAN SALAS SEGURA

He was the youngest member of the first generation of film students after the dictatorship, starting in 1994. Seeking his own stories, he left university to travel the world with his skateboard and snowboard, working and creating audiovisual pieces in places like Le Sauce Le Super Sauce (France), Stevens Pass (Washington, USA), Solitude (Utah, USA), Davos (Switzerland), Whistler (Canada), and El Colorado (Chile).

Over 23 years, he experienced luminous stories but was also consumed by the darkness of addiction. Light and shadow accompanied him until a trip to India, where he encountered yoga, Vipassana meditation, and wisdom in Dharamsala. He realized that only by embracing his life’s purpose—telling stories through cinema—could he continue to live.

ANDRELLA SÁNCHEZ GRANIFO

She began her career by organizing Yoga Roots’ yoga and meditation expeditions to Cerro El Plomo, guiding ordinary people through a spiritual experience over several days at 3,395 meters above sea level.

Her audiovisual productions started with logistics for television reports and documentary series across the Americas, leading to her promotion as commercial coordinator. She also produced the short film “La montaña, una gota y el mar,” the documentary “Ayün,” and the feature film “Tercer Chino.” This project enhanced her ability to produce complex works and secure the necessary funding to transform it into a high-level audiovisual film.
